Non-profit organizations, including public libraries, are finding themeselves increasingly under both financial and competive pressures. The development of a marketing strategy is an investment that can enable such organizations better understand their audience or users, how to tweak their product (which includes both things and services) to better meet the needs and expectations of their users, and ultimately when, how and where to communicate with both current and potential users about their product.
